    Just Ignore it.

If you receive this or a similar message, please do not forward it to your friends and colleagues. Forwarding unsolicited chain letters wastes time and bandwidth.

And Microsoft will never ever ask you to forward a mail. No professional company ever will.

So just delete it. This is SPAM.

    I am sure it’s SPAM.
No professional company do this manner.

lets just see how many hotmail names are possible, and how long it would take them to run out…

Okay, 26 letters plus 10 numbers plus an underscore = 37 letters

Is there a maximum number of letters? I don’t think so, but I’ll assume 20 for this exercise, so 37^20, which gives us a whopping 2.31×10^31 combinations. Multiply by 2 for @hotmail.com and @msn.com = 4.62×10^31 possible combinations. Divide that by 6 billion people, and every man woman and child on the planet has 7.7×10^21, or 7.7 SEXTILLION hotmail accounts.

Now, MSN messenger was launched in 1996, about 7 years ago. there are about 221 million seconds in 7 years, so at (7.7×10^21)/(2.21×10^8) = 3.48×10^13. Which, in short, means that in order for MSN to run out of names in its seven years of existance, every man, woman and child on the planet would have to create around 35 billion new accounts every second.

Now, it takes me significantly longer than a billionth of a second to create a new account. Perhaps I am just slow, or perhaps Andy and John are full of crap.

In short, all the servers on the planet Earth will be vaporized by the sun’s supernova before they run out of names.
